Aims and Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide delegates with an update on key developments in employment law over the last year.

The course will focus on recent developments and new legislation in the following areas:

  • Employment status – new cases and the Agency Workers Regulations 2010
  • Working Time – annual leave and sick leave
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures – recent cases
  • ET procedure – time limits and costs
  • Unfair dismissal – new cases
  • The Equality Act 2010
  • Discrimination – update

The course will be revised to ensure it takes into account the most recent developments in the law.

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain recent developments in employment law.
  • Discuss forthcoming legislation.
  • Apply recent developments and forthcoming legislation to their day to day work.
