Oh dear, that report has rather blown the gaff on local authorities deniability of there being any sort of tincy wincy little work related stress problem not that they have'nt been managing it internally to make sure it didn't become common knowledge in the public domain.
As any pretence of individual teachers being free to exhibit any pride in 'adding value' to the learning experience of pupils whilst delivering a "prescribed national curiculum" has by and large been thrown out with the bath water long time ago there seams little reason not to provide a complete package of generic teaching tick-box materials ?
Anyway, don't suppose even that would improve the lot of teachers or CSA's when the prescribed medicin is not accompanied by a spoon full of interesting sweetner to help the nasty boring stuff go down.
So having lost the undivided attention of pupils who know they are just on the education treadmill and any value associated with the holy grail of 5 'A' to 'C' grades is pretty worthless no wonder so many functionally illiterate can't be bothered to even pretend they are happy to be there in the first place - what's the point of another three years torute for nothing at the end of it ?
So, about time the teachers took a turn at "Kickin-Off" having had little dignity or integrety left to them as fulltime childminders in an open prisons where the headteacher has been replaced by accountant / governors who's main role is creative accounting to sustain league table position and to control risk of bad PR for local authorities..............
Not so funny a coincidence that Teacherline and Childline officially report 20% of all calls to both organisations related to bullying and that excludes the daily verbal abuse endured by mainstream let alone the professional teacher minders who choose to work in PRU's or even more secure estates because at least only having to manage 4 to 8 rather than 30 kickin off at a time.
When will they (well intentioned government) ever learn that education is not about money or facilities but about relationships and the "learning experience" of the customer / clients who will still be leaving at eighteen without any 'sirtificats' or a rounded education but may by then be savy or street wise enough to walk out of the school gates and straight round to nearest no-win no-fee law firm to lodge their compo and damages claim !!!!!
Already 7 million "functionally illiterate" out their who potentially could make a claim under education act let alone introduction of new Education Bill extending education as a right to adults and life-long learning - just gonna be interesting to watch and see how long it takes for the hudled masses of socio-economically disabled to make their voices heard by going to law.......
