Yea, interesting as in the case of other stress related work injuries, until recently, it was the exact opposite in that if you had not experienced a degree of mental illness before you were unable to claim work related chain of causation.

Mind you seams reasonable that any injury, pre-existing or not, that is exacerbated by work related activity should not be excluded solely because it may be a known disability or what's the point of sick, oh sorry well-notes?

So, just how long is it going to be before we are all subject to 'risk assessment' just like any other bit of workplace bit of kit ??????

Employee Liability insurers gonna want to do some sums on that one before amending premiums and/or withdrawing cover on sick workplaces aren't they ????

Gonna have to start monitoring 'presenteeism' as part of benchmarking wellness in the workplace as absence management not going to cut it..

Think it may be time to start another hedge fund for those present and forget those escaping as a coping strategy as least of worries they gone..........
