To little and for me to late. I had to spend 1/3 of one years income on upgrades and consultants to get through my recent inspection. What has it given me? A very high spec for what at the moment is a family home as we are in a quiet period. What they could have done is develop a standard risk assessment document that would have atleast saved me £250.00. Now I have it in my grips it is a fairly obvious document that 95% of small B&B's could more or less slot into.

I now feel like I am living in a hotel which contyradicts the pleasent homely environment I have developed and been praised for for some years. Its lable city in my home now and I hate it (and I have to keep doors wedged open) what a pitty the government could not have come up with a priority status scheme!!! Having said that I have found out recently that I am the only B&B in town to suffer the inspection and enforcement stratagy of the fire authority, this I am told is due to a cut in manpower budget. Just my luck.
