I feel completely sorry for the field inspectors. They appaer to be getting pulled from one strategy to another. It also causes confusion in the safety industry when we are giving out confused messages. No wonder the media mock until safety goes wrong!
Working within Local Government as a safety professional I am totally frustrated by mixed messages especially when we are trying to change the culture of safety management. Managers then don't take us seriously and who could blame them!!
