With respect, can I suggest everyone reads the details of the scheme before asking questions in the forum? It may save some time and effort to go to the website that has all the details including factsheets, helplines and FAQs that will answer 99.9% of questions. www.isa-gov.org.uk. Then if clarity is still needed, then the forum is your man.

So is this going to be a replacement for enhanced CRB checks a combination of 'lists' or just making them all them redundant or, having gone potty over the construction black list, is this going to be another alternative black list or what ?

I think it would also be in order to give some assurances to those who have been wrongly put under suspicion. We have to ensure that the proper avenues are in place for the right of redress before someone's career is put in jeopardy. All the emphasis is put on the authorities missing relevant offences but they have also made mistakes...
