The TUC is claiming that mothers are not returning to work because of a general lack of childcare provisions in the workplace. The organisation is calling for childcare facilities to be on the Government's agenda, and is asking Regional Development Agencies to support employers trying to provide such services. Currently, only about 5% of workplaces have a nursery on site.
