The DTI has announced some good news for employers, but perhaps not so good for the agencies they use. Changes have been announced to the 'Temp to Perm' transfer fees charged by recruitment agencies. Recruitment agencies often charge large sums when a client company recruits a worker originally hired from them. The problem was brought to the attention of the DTI when an agency tried to charge them over £4,000. The government consulted on the issue in spring 1999. Under the new proposals, if ...
