Biography
Toby specialises in contentious and non-contentious aspects of all intellectual property law. This includes advising on the protection, enforcement, acquisition, disposal, and exploitation of all types of intellectual property rights. Toby has considerable experience in negotiating IP licences and advising on IP ownership strategies. He has worked on a number of complex acquisitions, disposals and licensing arrangements which have involved tracing ownership and intra-group restructuring of IPR for tax-driven purposes. He also has considerable experience in advising on avoiding IPR infringement and enforcing IPR against infringers (including in relation to software), including the conduct of court proceedings to full trial.
