Biography
Thames Laboratories' technical director John Richards has more than 20 years� professional experience in asbestos management, and is an internationally recognised figure in the asbestos abatement sector: John sits on the RICS asbestos working group, and is currently the chair of ATAC (a division of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association). John is the joint editor of the special report Asbestos: Duty to Manage, which was published in 2002 to provide leading-edge commentary on how property owners and managers should approach compliance with the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002. John is also the specialist asbestos advisor to the Workplace Law Network on asbestos issues, where he sits on the online advice panel and speaks at the annual Facilities Management Legal Update conference.
