Biography
Ian is a partner in the intellectual property group. His practice splits into three main areas: all forms of intellectual property disputes; media and crisis management; and technology and outsourcing disputes. He is best known for his work in the technology and new media sectors, but he also acts for a number of clients in the financial services, publishing and hotels sectors. He is a regular contributor of comments on legal issues to the broadcast and print media. Ian also deals with public relations and crisis management issues. This has involved work across a broad spectrum, including investigative broadcast and print journalism; pressure groups; shareholder activists; foreign governments; hate websites; and harassment of directors and employees. Ian is a partner in the firm’s crisis management team and has close links with professionals in the PR industry.
