Biography
Edward McHugh heads Dundas & Wilson's health and safety practice .He is a solicitor advocate with a wealth of contentious and non-contentious experience and holds an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) approved "Managing safely" certificate. He advises on risk management, prosecutions (including advising companies in connection with UK-wide HSE inquiries into fatal accidents) and regulatory requirements/compliance issues, both current and proposed. He also has significant experience in identifying and resolving health and safety due diligence issues in corporate transactions and in managing the allocation of health and safety risk in PFI/PPPprojects. He is often involved in health and safety training for clients including, for example, preparing and delivering legal obligations and best practice training modules to company directors as part of an IOSH certified course.
