Biography
Paul, who is a qualified barrister and solicitor, joined Charles Russell in January 2000 having trained at a leading employment law chambers. He continues to train solicitors in employment advocacy. He has appeared in Employment Tribunals, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the High and County Court on a number of complex employment and pensions related issues and has dealt with all areas of employment law including disciplinary and procedural matters, directors contracts, share option agreements, cross border disputes, data protection issues and TUPE. Paul has acted successfully for a number of high profile clients including Joel Stransky against Bristol Rugby Club, and Mr Rutherford in his groundbreaking age related discrimination claim. He is also acting for a large number of pilots and cabin crew in another major age related discrimination case involving British Airways. Paul also lectures regularly and comments on legal issues in the National Press and has appeared on Radio 4’s “Law in Action” and BBC2’s “The Money Programme”. Paul is on the management committee of the Employment Lawyers' Association.
