Biography

Darren has been consistently rated as leader in his field for the region by the only two independent guides to the legal profession. He has a keen interest in industrial relations and employment law stemming from almost 20 years practical experience. Darren started off in the trade union movement and after serving his time on that side of the fence he gained a masters degree in industrial relations and employment law and he crossed the divide, now advising employers and senior executives. His broad and almost unique experience led to his appointment to the Governments own industrial relations body (ACAS) as an Arbitrator in 2007, one of only nine appointments nationally in the last ten years. Accordingly, Darren has a reputation for providing practical, no nonsense advice in plain English and a "seize the throat" approach to employment tribunals.
