Biography

Keith Bright is Director of Keith Bright Consultants, an independent access consultancy and Emeritus Professor of Inclusive Environments at the University of Reading. Keith is a Consultant member of the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC) and the Inclusive Environment Consultants Scheme (IEC) recently set up by the RICS. He is a member of the Inclusive Environments Group, set up under the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) to advise government and others on the provision of inclusive, accessible built environments, and a member of the Building Regulation Advisory Committee (BRAC), statutory advisers to Government on the Building Regulations. He is also a member of the Civic Trust National Awards Panel, with specific responsibility for the Inclusive Design Award. He has authored and co-authored over 100 books, papers and articles including The Access Manual, Buildings for all to use and The Building Regulations Explained.
