Biography
Susan has specialised in employment law since 1994. She has particular experience in contentious matters conducting cases for clients in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal, County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, including litigation relating to wrongful dismissal and the enforceability of restrictive covenants. Susan's non contentious experience includes drafting employment documentation, directors' service contracts and severance agreements, advising on individual disciplinary and dismissal issues, and mass redundancy programmes. She has also advised on sex, race and disability discrimination, unfair dismissal, and on employee aspects of mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing and public/private partnerships. Susan is often quoted in the press commenting on topical employment issues. She regularly writes articles and speaks at workshops/seminars. In particular Susan has just completed jointly editing a new book on comparative European law, "Employment Law in Europe". With contributions from other leading experts in 17 jurisdictions (including the international CMS law firms in Austria, Germany, Belgium and Holland,) the book provides information about the most common employment issues in Europe.
