Legionella control and water hygiene in the built environment
Biography
Giles Green joined Bureau Veritas when it had Britain’s only commercial laboratory with accreditation for Legionella analysis. He developed much of the technical content of the company’s policies for water hygiene management in buildings. · Contributor through the WMSoc HSE guidance on the control of legionellosis incorporated in L8. · Co-author of the 2000 and 2002 editions of CIBSE Technical Memorandum TM13. · Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Water Management Society, leading the Society's policy development, answering queries from members or the general public and referrals from the Legionella Control Association and in liaison with the Health and Safety Executive. Giles is responsible for the development of built-environment water management services at Bureau Veritas. He is one of the company’s Expert Witnesses and is trained to head their Outbreak Investigation Team.
