Biography
Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in 1998, joining in Leeds in April 2001. Jonathan graduated from University College London, trained and qualified with law firm Pinsent Curtis followed by a specialist niche IT practice in the Thames Valley. Jonathan specialises in information technology, e-commerce and data protection law and has a broad experience advising both private and public bodies on IT supply and procurement, IT PFI and doing business on the internet. He has advised one of a consortium of companies in a bid to win the (circa £300m) NHS Payroll, HR and Shared Services IT PFI Project, has recently advised a new entrant to the commercial insurance market on its purchase of £7m systems development and services, a well known data services company in its £8m bid for a 7 year data processing service to a government department, and a utilities company on its £25 million offshore software development ITT and he is currently part of a team advising a local authority on a major LAMP contract. Jonathan has also acted for a number of well-known banks, financial institutions and oil companies in provision of standardised procurement documentation and negotiation and advice in relation to software and hardware implementation projects.
