Biography
David Flint is a Partner in the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology Law Group and specialises in all aspects of non-contentious intellectual property, with particular emphasis on computer-related contracts and issues. David is acknowledged as a leading expert in Intellectual Property Law, Computer/IT law, and European Law. David has played a key role in a number of major commercial contract projects and on IP issues relating to the privatisation of British Energy plc. He advises a major Scottish University on IP and Technology matters and is engaged in advising a major Scottish company on IP issues arising out of the use of the Internet as a world-wide marketing medium. David is a recognised authority on restrictive practices and Competition Law and, with qualifications from both Glasgow and Amsterdam Universities, also advises extensively on all aspects of EU Law including agency and distribution. He is a member of the CBI Competition Panel and the Joint Working Party on Competition Law of the UK Law Societies and Bars.
