Biography

Simon is a member of the Bond Pearce management board and a senior corporate finance partner and has led many major corporate transactions and projects. He is an acknowledged specialist in relation to mid market corporate transactions and regularly lectures on legal corporate matters. Simon has extensive experience in relation to a range of corporate transactions, particularly M&A, private equity (MBOs and MBIs) and restructurings. He also acts for companies in relation to investments, fund raisings and joint ventures and works with owner-managed businesses on strategic issues. Simon has advised upon many important transactions, including the management buy outs of British International Limited, Warings Construction Group Holdings and Allen & Heath Limited and a large number of corporate M&A transactions, including the sale of SP Systems Limited and the acquisition of the Dimbleby group of newspaper companies for Newsquest. Simon has particular expertise in the renewable energy field. He led the Bond Pearce team in relation to the Zephyr Wind Fund, an innovative financing for nPower Renewables raising £400m of investment. He also has extensive expertise of renewables financing and M&A transactions, including the Rhyl Flats and Kentish Flats offshore wind projects.
