Biography

Elizabeth Upton is a senior solicitor working in the Commercial Department at Bird & Bird. She advises clients on a wide range of IT matters including the licensing of software, agreements for the provision of internet services, online terms and conditions and other legal implications of ecommerce. In addition, as a member of Bird & Bird’s Information Law Group, Elizabeth regularly advises on data protection and privacy issues for all types of business and has recently been involved in a data protection audit for a large group of UK companies. Elizabeth has particular experience of advising on the use of personal data in the online environment.
