Biography

Angela joined Osborn Abas Hunt as an Associate in March 2009. She is qualified as a barrister and was called to the Bar in July 2003. Angela has acted as junior counsel in a successful two week trial listed in April 2009 at Croydon Crown Court. The case involved the death of a construction worker engaged on a construction project for a marine and civil engineering joint venture. She has also acted as junior counsel in a successful appeal against revocation of a licence by the Gangmasters’ Licensing Authority. She is currently preparing to represent a Principal Contractor at a two week inquest listed later in the year. The inquest follows the death of a worker on a major construction project and involves a number of interested parties. She is also advising on an application for a PPC permit in the agricultural industry which is being contested by the planning authorities on the basis of complaints relating to noise and odour. Angela works directly with Senior Partner, Madeleine Abas, on matters involving the Health and Safety Executive, Police, Environment Agency and other regulatory bodies. She is involved in the development of training for clients on matters related to workplace safety and accident investigation and management. She has delivered training on the management of the aftermath of a fatal accident, internal investigations and dealing with the regulatory authorities, including the powers of the police and HSE.
