A company has been fined £4,000 and been forced to clear a public footpath, in the first case of its kind under the new Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000. Rarebargain Ltd have been ordered to clear away barbed wire, locked gates and a refrigeration unit. In addition, a barn that was built across the 140 year old path must be dismantled within six months.The case is seen a big step forward by the Ramber's Association, and should alert landlords to their duties under the new regulations. ...
