Plans to allow local authorities to levy a workplace parking charge could be very damaging to both business activity and workplace morale, the Institute of Directors (IoD) warned today. The IoD had previously given a cautious welcome to the government’s ten-year transport plan, but now fears that the parking proposals could badly damage business profitability and competitiveness.
