Flood hit businesses in the hospitality sector have been warned that employees can claim full redundancy payments after just four weeks.
The reminder, issued by law firm Wedlake Bell, warned that any employee that is laid off (without pay) or put on short-time working – receiving less than half a week’s pay – for four consecutive weeks, or for six weeks out of 13, can claim redundancy.
