An issuing of two technical notes by a leading manufacturer has renewed concerns among contractors about counterfeit tower crane sections.
Manufacturers have been struggling to meet demands for crane sections caused by the current boom in the construction industry, which has led to rumours about fake parts and bad practice.
The company’s note to its customers warns:
