The House of Lords sent the Corporate Manslaughter Bill back to the House of Commons again yesterday (17 July) after refusing to back down over deaths in custody.
This is the fifth time peers have sent the Bill back to the Commons, where it will be debated today (18 July).
Former chief inspector of prisons Lord Ramsbotham said during the debate that he was unconvinced of government pledges that police custody deaths would be included at some future, unspecified, date.
