Facilities managers will still not be liable for a short time for designs prepared by employees and contractors under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1995. The current CDM consultation that has attracted so much attention since the Paul Wurth case ended on 31 May 2000, and the amended legislation and a new Approved Code of Practice will follow shortly.
