Staff recklessness with recording passwords is said to be the biggest risk for businesses to their computer network security.
According to the DTI, employees are said to be careless with passwords by openly writing them down on a piece of paper or by storing them somewhere on their computer.
Elizabeth Brownsdon, Solicitor at Bird & Bird says that an organisation can be at risk if their employees are not regularly changing passwords or leaving applications running for a long period.
