Alcohol is an issue that can affect safety in the workplace and the welfare of other employees.
Results published in the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Journal shows that by reducing social drinking in the workplace, employees are less likely to drink outside the workplace.
Workers in organisations that most discouraged social drinking were 45% less likely to be heavy drinkers than those in workplaces with the most relaxed attitudes to drinking.
