The Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) has held that a meeting note made by an employee's manager was a written statement of grievance for the purposes of step one of the standard grievance procedure.
Mr Francis was employed by Kennedy Scott Limited (KS Ltd) as a job broker helping the unemployed return to work. In March 2006 he met the human resources manager to discuss ongoing bullying by a manager and other members of staff. He was advised to follow the company's grievance procedure. The ...
