New programme of health and safety inspections for movement of goods

The HSE and Local Authorities (LA) are running a joint programme of inspections around the country to ensure that safety standards are met in the workplace for the movement of goods.

The ‘Moving Goods Safely’ (MGS) initiative is a national project involving both the HSE and LA working in partnership to inspect the moving of goods within sectors where such activity forms a fundamental aspect of the business.
