Code of practice aims to make leasing shops and offices more user-friendly

A new stronger code of practice has been launched today (28 March), which aims to make leasing shops and offices more user-friendly for small businesses.

The updated Code for Leasing Business Premises was produced by a consortium of business, property, finance and legal organisations. The one sheet guide aims to help businesses avoid the pitfalls of lease agreements, ensuring landlords operate to a pan-industry agreed standard.
