Along with its managing director, a company that removed asbestos from a Tyneside industrial building without a licence, has been fined.
North East Environmental Ltd was engaged last year in the renovation of the former Pipeline Centre at Harvey Combe, Killingworth. The work involved the removal of asbestos for which a licence was required. However, the company did not have such a licence for work that was carried out between 25 September and 10 October 2006.
