An increasing dependence on computers has left some companies questioning whether they could survive a 24-hour disruption to their IT systems.
An international study by the Economist Intelligence Unit found 47% of businesses surveyed believe unplanned systems downtime lasting 24 hours or more could jeopardise the survival of their entire business.
