As part of a ‘tidy desk’ scheme black tape has been put on civil servants' desks to show them where to put their pens, computers and phones.
The exercise at the National Insurance offices in North Tyneside is part of a drive to encourage staff to tidy their desks and make the most efficient use of desk space.
