A Muslim police officer is claiming discrimination on the grounds of race and religious belief against the Metropolitan police force after he was removed from a high security protection squad.
Amjad Farooq was a member of Diplomatic Protection Group (DPG) SO16, a close protection unit in charge of protection at government, diplomatic and Metropolitan Police sites, including guarding people such as the Prime Minister.
