A settlement has been reached in the case of a female firefighter who claimed she suffered sex discrimination at the hands of her male colleagues.
Sandra Tilke was seeking compensation from Devon Fire and Rescue Service, which denied the allegations.
She told a tribunal that she suffered discrimination between October 2002 - when members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) went on strike - until April 2003. Tilke was member of the Fire Officers' Association (FOA) and so was a non-striker. ... (147 more words)
