This year over half of the three million company cars on Britain's roads were involved in at least one accident. This astounding figure could be reduced if the proposals put forward by the government appointed task force on preventing at-work road traffic incidents were implemented. These accidents account for over 1,000 deaths a year and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has said that company car drivers are running almost the same risk of death or serious injury as miners.
