Retirement group Heyday has been notified by the High Court that its legal action against the Government and the new Employment Equality (Age) Regulations (2006) will receive an early hearing on 6 December.
As Workplace Law previously reported, the group has taken the Government to court over the Mandatory Retirement Ages (MRAs) clause in the Regulations which it believes will allow employers to force employees to retire at or after 65, and will enable employers to refuse to recruit anyone...
