HSE and IOSH: views on directing health and safety

HSE Chief Executive Geoffrey Podger says that enforcement needs to remain an important tool in the range of interventions available to improve health and safety compliance. Speaking at Workplace Law’s Directing Health and Safety Conference yesterday, Podger said that the HSE was now more “delivery focused”, and that the strategic approach was paying dividends.
