A fresh inquiry is being held into the UK’s largest outbreak of Legionnaires’ Disease that led to the deaths of seven people and affected hundreds more.
As Workplace Law has extensively reported, Barrow Borough Council and Design Services Manager Gillian Beckingham were both fined over health and safety breaches which led to the outbreak.
Barrow Council is now holding its own inquiry, which could lead to disciplinary action against staff.
