Scottishpower has been fined £400,000 after being found guilty of breaches of health and safety legislation that led to a worker dieing after being electrocuted.
Alan Ronald was checking high-voltage power lines near Airdrie in North Lanarkshire on 16 December 2003 when he was electrocuted by 275,000 volts. His colleague Brian Beacham also suffered a non-fatal electric shock.
