Earlier this month a new Employment Tribunal Judicial Mediation Pilot scheme was launched in the Birmingham, London Central and Newcastle regions.
The Government has said that alternative dispute resolution options are a priority and mediation is seen as one option. The scheme will run for 6-12 months and it aims to see what effect Judicial Mediation has on discrimination claims – specifically race, sex and disability.
