Gillian Beckingham has today been found not guilty of of manslaughter following the deaths of seven people allegedy caused by an outbreak of Legionnaires' Disease in Barrow in Furness in 2002. Retiring last Thursday, the jury took nine hours to reach its unanimous not guilty verdict. Beckingham still faces a charge under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
