New fire safety guidance for emergency lighting systems

The British Standards Institute (BSI) has published a new guide for businesses involved in the design, installation and manufacture of emergency lighting systems, to help them meet new fire risk assessments.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRO) is due to come into force on 1 October. Under the new legislation fire certificates will be abolished and cease to have legal status.
