The Corporate Manslaughter Bill has been introduced into Parliament today (20 July).
If it becomes law the Bill will apply to corporations, including public bodies, and introduce unlimited fines if it were found a death followed a serious failing by senior managers.
Following the publication of the draft Corporate Manslaughter Bill in April 2005 a joint Home Affairs and Work and Pensions Committee published a report containing its recommendations of what should be changed.
