The view that workers in the public sector take more sick leave than private sector employees is misleading, a new report by the HSE has said.
The Survey of Workplace Absences, Sickness and (Ill) Health 2005 was based on interviews with 10,000 employees from public and private sector businesses and took into account the size, gender and age profiles of the organisations.
