Workers are more likely to be injured during their first month at a job than at any other time, which poses significant financial risks for employers seeking to take on seasonal staff.
According to the HSE’s Workplace Health Connect, new staff are on average about four times as likely to be injured in their first month of work than if they had been working for the same employer for a year or more.
