Security fears cause employers to monitor employee emails

A new study of outbound email and content security issues has found that email and things such as webmail and blog postings continue to grow as a source of risk for companies.

In an effort to combat this risk the study, by security company Proofpoint, found that 38% of UK companies with 1,000 or more employees hire staff to read or analyse email, while 40% of companies with more than 20,000 workers employ staff for this purpose.
